LONG BEACH STATE STARTS THE 2019 SEASON BY WINNING THE BLACK AND BLUE CUP 65-21 AGAINST UCSB

Long Beach State played a solid second half  to securing the Black and Blue cup for the fourth time in five years. This was the first game in almost a month and it took about 20 min to knock the rust off and settle into playing a solid game. The B Side also played well and came away with a 27-5 finish.


Long Beach State Wins Fall 15's Tournament

Long Beach State won the 15th annual Fall Classic 15's tournament our scoring their opponents 119-15. The Long Beach State B side went 3-1 on the day just missed 2nd place. It is always a great tournament to get playing time in for new and old players. Next up is Cal Poly SLO @ LB this weekend.

Long Beach falls short of the National Championship Game with a 20-17 loss to Nevada in the Final Four semi Final

Long Beach Made it through the "Great 8" with a dominating second half against Chico State. Long Beach was down 22-7 at one point in the first half and made it 28-14 Chico at the half. After adjustments Long Beach took control of the second half and dominated Chico and shut them out in the last 40min. Final Score was 36-28 Long Beach.

The National Championship Semi Final was a very closely contested game from start to finish. Nevada's defense held strong and even though having more of the opportunities to score, Long Beach couldn't get past the last line of Nevada's defense. Final Score was 20-17 Nevada.
