Long Beach downs Santa Clara 37-29

Long Beach traveled up to Santa Clara for a preseason match up. It was the first full 80 min game of the year. Santa Clara got on the board first but was quickly countered by Long Beach. The first half was closely contested with Long Beach going into the half with a 13-8 lead. Santa Clara came out firing and took the lead to start the second half, but Long Beach settled in and took over the scoring for the last 30 min of the game stretching the Long Beach lead to 37-15 with just a few minutes remaining. Long Beach started to watch the scoreboard clock and along with the rising heat, they took their foot off the gas and that gave up two soft tries in the last 5 min which brought the final Score to 37-29. Long Beach will be at home this weekend hosting the Fall 15's Classic.
